14 Days Golden Ring of China with Hong Kong

Tour Type:Private/ Small Group
Destination:Beijing, Xi’an, Shanghai, Hong Kong
Duration:14 Days

Take a journey through four of China’s fabulous cities visiting Beijing, Xian, Shanghai, and Hong Kong over 10 spectacular days. Launch your adventure in Beijing, the country’s capital where ‘grand scale’ takes on a whole new meaning. China’s emperors had grand visions and took every measure to bring them to life. You’ll gain a deep appreciation of how they achieved this when you follow their steps through the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, and Great Wall. An altogether different Beijing is found in the hutong, still home to local families and businesses, while the life of intellectuals past and present is evident at the Confucius Temple and Imperial College Museum. Climb aboard China’s next big thing, high speed train travel, on the vast and growing rail network that is working its way like a web across the country. Sit back, relax, and enjoy watching the changing face of China slip by at speeds up to 300 kilometers per hour. More empirical grandeur awaits when you discover the renowned Terracotta Army. Marvel at the ingenuity and tenacity of those tasked with creating the 8000 plus figures. Back this up with other Xian highlights: walk the City Wall, wander Muslim Quarter, visit the Great Mosque, and be sure to savor a famous Xian local food. From Xian you’ll fly to Shanghai, China’s legendary Paris of the East. Immerse yourself in the blend of European and Asian cultures evident here in the architecture, cuisine, and people. Walk the Bund, explore Yuyuan Garden, and lose yourself in XinTianDi and the former French Concession. Your final destination on tour is Hong Kong, a food and financial mecca. Located in an enviable island setting, the natural and built landscape defy belief. Enjoy the panoramic views from Victoria Peak, satisfy your shopping urges in Repulse Bay, and get out on the water traditional style with a harbor sampan ride. Inclusive of 9 nights accommodation in a choice of four and five star hotels, all in country transfers (including flights to Hong Kong), enthusiastic guides in every destination, daily breakfasts, and the option to add on activities or other destinations, this is the ideal tour for travel adventurers wanting an eye-opener to the diversity of China.
